About Us

In honor of My Dad's Legacy, The Ted Kizer Foundation has been established. Ted Kizer, "Teddy Bear," was a man known for the love he had for those around him, the heart to help all he could, and the joy he brought. Though he battled with alcohol addiction, his legacy is not addiction. He never wanted to bring pain and wouldn't want anyone else to suffer the hurt his death brought. The Ted Kizer Foundation is here to live out Ted's spirit of love and laughter by providing holistic support to individuals and families impacted by all forms of addiction (alcohol, substance, gambling, sex, shopping, and more).

OUR MISSION

We provide compassionate aid across the entire journey of addiction and recovery:

  • Family Healing: Aid for therapy and counseling for both young children and adult children with addicted parents.

  • Basic Security: Support for youth with addicted parents by providing relief from food and clothing insecurities.

  • Path to Freedom: Financial assistance for rehabilitation and specialized therapy for those seeking to break free from addiction.

  • New Beginnings: Support for those in early recovery with essential living assistance (rent, etc.) and sustained therapeutic care.
